Beauty can be EXPENSIVE! That's why whenever I can, I try to find good products on the cheap. One thing I have found is that price does not equal value when it comes to mascara. I have tried mascaras under $5 that amazed me, and I have tried mascaras that cost more than $35 and been super let down. That's why I decided to devote a portion of my blog to drug store cosmetics reviews. This way, you can learn from my mistakes without wasting your money!

My favorite mascara is Younique Fiberlash. Read about it here. However, I don't always have time to apply it. I was looking for a mascara that I could apply quickly. I was finishing some Christmas shopping in Target today, and saw the Rimmel Extra Super Lash mascara. Lately, life has thrown me some curveballs, so I'm pretty broke right now. I bought this because it was $2.99. The package was pretty basic. I had zero expectations.

Compré éste porque solo valía $2.99. El paquete era básico. No tenía altas esperanzas.

The wand is nothing special either. I did notice that the formula was thick, which made me a little more optimistic. Here goes nothing.

Here I am with my left eye done and my right eye with no makeup. What a pleasant surprise! This is probably one of the best mascaras I have ever tried. It gave me lots of length and volume, with minimal clumping. I still can't believe it only costs $2.99. Let that be a lesson. Packaging can be very deceiving.

Aquí estoy con mi ojo izquierda hecho con el producto y el ojo derecho sin nada. Que grata sorpresa! Probablemente esto es uno de los mejores rimels que he probado nunca. Me alargó mucho las pestañas, aumentó el volumen, y no aglutinó. No me lo puedo creer que solo vale $2.99. Deja que eso sea una lectura: El embalaje puede ser engañoso.
